Its 6:33 pm UK time. I have had a pretty hectic day, punctuated by some of my colleagues coming to my desk and asking ‘ is your family back in Kenya OK’. Some made statements like: ‘Kenya was seen as the developed country in Africa, what is happening?’, ‘Kenya was seen as the beacon of hope in Africa, why are your politicians destroying it?’. |

A colleague’s daughter was planning to go Kenya in May for work experience, now she is considering cancelling the trip… Kibaki, why are you destroying the beacon of hope? |
